When undertaking assessment, you will gain access to our Assessment Portal, which includes:
- An assessment timeline outlining the assessment process and milestones
- Checklists of tasks for you to complete to support the process
- A secure facility for uploading documents such as copies of school reports.
- Access to materials and videos to help you better understand and use your child’s assessment.
- Materials to show your child so they know what to expect.
Assessment will include:
- Completion of questionnaires by parents and relevant school staff
- A meeting with the child or young person and their parents to get to know one another and to find out more about them.
- Up to three assessment sessions (depending on the type of assessment)
- A feedback session

At the end of your assessment, you will receive an assessment and resource pack that includes:
- A full formal report of all assessment results with summary and recommendations which can be copied and circulated as you wish.
- A short report summary, with the most important points from the assessment condensed down to 1-2 pages to help those supporting your child easily take on important information and use it to support your child.
- A child-friendly summary to help your child understand the assessment results.
- Resources for you to use each time your child has a new teacher or support staff to help them quickly understand and optimally support your child.
- A brief video by your psychologist explaining the assessment results in everyday language.
- Links to additional resources, curated for your child by the psychologist completing the assessment.

We provide assessment for Specific Learning Disorders, including dyslexia (difficulty reading), dysgraphia/written expression (difficulty writing) dyscalculia (difficulty with Maths) and other concerns that you may have about your child’s academic progress or development.

This assessment involves a cognitive assessment and an assessment of adaptive behaviours.
Assessments of adaptive behaviour alone may also be required from time to time, and may fit with NDIS requirements.
